NBFIRA Participates at the Business Botswana Northern Trade Fair 2025

As part of stakeholder engagement and education, the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) is at the Business Botswana Trade Fair held in Francistown from 21st to 26th May 2025.

This year’s event is themed Driving Economic Diversification: Innovation for Sustainable Growth* and NBFIRA’s participation at the fair provides understanding of its mandate, promotes financial education and consumer protection. The NBFIRA mandate contributes to the financial stability of the local financial system and thereby empowers the public and consumers of non-bank financial products and services of their rights and responsibilities as customers.

The outreach also serves as a platform for the Authority to inform the public on the licensing requirements for aspiring industry participants. The close interaction with the public enables the Authority to identify arising and common complaints concerning financial products and services.
