Public Notice - Illegal Activities by Skybound Wealth Management

The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) hereby informs the public that Skybound Wealth Management (Skybound) is not licensed to operate as a Non-Bank Financial Institution (NBFI) as required by Section 3(1) of the Securities Act, 2014, nor has it been granted any dispensation to operate in Botswana.

Information received by NBFIRA is that Skybound has been advertising offshore investments to Batswana and further requesting interested Batswana to open offshore investment accounts with them.

Members of the public are, therefore, advised that transacting any business with Skybound will be at their own risk. The public is further advised to exercise due diligence before making any investment with any NBFI at all times.

Please contact NBFIRA on 310 2595 or 368 6100 to ascertain the legitimacy of any institution that markets itself as an NBFI prior to making any investment decisions.
