Public Notice – Penrich Insurance Brokers (Proprietary) Limited

The Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (“NBFIRA”) would like to inform members of the public that it has cancelled Penrich Insurance Brokers (Pty) Ltd (Penrich)’slicence, in terms of section 46(1)(c) of the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority Act, 2023.

Please note that the effect of the cancellation is that Penrichis no longer permitted to offer any insurance brokerage services to members of the public. Penrich has been granted thirty (30) days to wind down its affairs, including, referring all outstanding claims to the appropriate underwriters.

Existing clients of Penrichare advised to deal directly with their respective underwriters and to make arrangements to redirect their premium payments to the appropriate underwriters. Should you need further information please contact the Insurance Department on 3686100 or 3102595.
