The Board and the Chief Executive Officer of the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority are pleased to announce the executive appointment of Ms. Verily Molatedi as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer – Regulatory Services effective June 2, 2025.
Ms. Molatedi is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of multifaceted experience in strategic financial management, corporate governance, and organisational leadership across a number of state-owned
enterprises and the private sector. She holds Fellowships with both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (“BICA”), and she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence and ethical standards in the accounting profession.
Ms. Molatedi’s career trajectory includes pivotal roles such as Chief Executive Officer at BICA where she was charged with the responsibility for the regulation of the Accounting profession in Botswana as well as ensuring that the country has trained Chartered Accountants who are internationally recognised through the BICA qualification.
This was in addition to ensuring that BICA is a well-run Institute. Her career reflects a dedication to strengthening financial systems, promoting ethical practices, driving organisational success and developing those that she worked with, thus leaving a lasting positive impact.
Beyond executive roles, she has been as an active contributor to various Boards, locally, regionally and internationally, offering strategic insights, particularly in Finance and Audit committees. Ms. Molatedi currently chairs the Task Force for the Institute for Combatting Illicit Financial Flows (“ICIFF”). She is also a mentor to the Board of Namibia Institute of Professional Accountants.
