Board of Directors
Section 6 of the NBFIRA Act 2023 establishes the Board of Directors as the governing body of NBFIRA and is responsible for the direction of the NBFIRA’s affairs as well as providing general policy direction. In accordance with section 7(2), the Board shall consist of:
- Chairperson
- Vice Chairperson
- A representative of the Bank of Botswana
- A representative of the Ministry responsible for finance and
- Four other persons
The Chief Executive Officer shall be an ex-officio member of the Board. The appointment of Board Members is vested in the Minister of Finance as per the NBFIRA Act 2023, Section 7. The NBFIRA Board of Directors comprises of:
