Vacancy-Deputy Chief Executive Officer -Corporate Services

The Authority is in search of a qualified individual to fill the below position:

DEPUTY CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER – CORPORATE SERVICES

Purpose of the job

Reporting to the CEO, you will drive the strategic plan and oversee the efficient and effective integration of the different departments (Finance, Communications & Public Affairs, Information Technology and Human Resources & Administration) within the Authority, so as to enhance mandate and service delivery in support of the core business and enhance sustainability.

Key performance Areas

·         Make input into development of Strategic Plans and Institutional capacity for NBFIRA and oversee smooth implementation

·         Develop and manage a large operational budget for the directorate in line with set guidelines to drive the strategic intent

·         Oversee communication and collaboration with key stakeholders including the Government and International agencies that have functions related to the regulation or supervision of financial services, taxation, social security or the financial system.

·         To lead cross functional organisational change to strategically adapt to changing environmental demands

·         To foster a culture of integrity, honesty, respect and trust by consistently acting as a moral compass and inspiring others through action.

·         To define the overall company philosophy, policies and processes and drive implementation of same to monitor and report on organisational performance

·         Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the non-bank financial institutions sector for compliance with the relevant legal instruments (Acts of parliament, Regulations and Rules) to ensure financial soundness of the sector;

·         Direct the development and review of appropriate legal, regulatory, risk, and corporate governance framework(s) as well as ensuring compliance thereof

Experience and Qualifications

·         Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Commerce, Law, Business Management or related qualification

·         Membership to a professional and internationally recognised institute will be an added advantage

·         Minimum of 14 years’ experience of which two (2) should have been at Director or General Management level in a financial or regulatory environment.

·         Demonstrable insight into fundamental financial principles and procedures

·         Strong communication and reasoning ability, integrity and high ethical standards

·         Excellent business acumen, decisiveness, influential and impact, relationship management
